Zimbl, the developer and operator of community-led mobility and energy hubs, has made two senior appointments to its leadership team as part of its UK growth plans.
Miles Price and Ed Cree have both taken active supportive and strategic roles of the Oxfordshire-based company across planning and retail respectively, which began life as a dedicated and community-led EV hire and charging business serving local neighbourhoods. Their appointment comes as the business is being scaled up with ambitious plans to roll out 40 Zimbl hubs (Z-Hubs) in housing developments across the UK, featuring as a minimum, EV hire and charging infrastructure as well as optional smart grid/ Hydrogen or HVO to generate sustainable energy. The hubs can also feature e-bike, e-taxi and e-delivery services alongside a café, farm food shop and coworking space.
Price is a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute (FRTPI) with over 30 years’ experience leading some of the largest development projects across London and the UK. As Planning and Transport Director at British Land for more than two decades, he has sat on Design Review Panels for Highways England and Network Rail, the Mayor of London’s Roads Task Force and the Sustrans London Advisory Panel. He is a past winner of the UK Transport Planner of the Year and was instrumental in establishing Highways England’s ‘Developers Group’. Price also lectures in planning and transport at UCL and Sheffield Hallam and works closely with Active Travel England.
Cree is a Chartered Surveyor with over 34 years’ experience and an exemplary track record in commercial real estate. He spent much of his career at British Land, where he served as Head of Asset Management for the landmark Canada Water development in London. Cree has overseen the repositioning and management of major retail and mixed-use portfolios, and brings deep expertise in asset strategy, placemaking and stakeholder engagement.

All Zimbl operations are driven by a sophisticated and state-of-the art energy and technology infrastructure. This in turn allows tracking of utilisation, carbon savings, modal shift and community engagement in real time.
