What Zimbl options are available to property developers and housebuilders?

  • Zimbl Hub (Z-Hub) - designed for housing developments and features as a minimum EV hire and charging. It can also include a range of other Zimbl branded services and facilities including e-bike hire, smart and sustainable energy supply, a farm food shop, cafe, and coworking spaces.
  • Zimbl Enterprise (Z-Enterprise) - a bigger version of Z-Hub and ideal for more densely populated communities. Features café and retail facilities operated by established third party brands on a concession basis.

Who manages the Zimbl operations?

Zimbl is solely responsible for the management and maintenance of Zimbl operations. This includes cleaning, staffing, marketing, service charges as well as the maintenance of electric cars, vans and bikes for hire and the EV charging station.

Who constructs the Zimbl facilities?

There is a choice of using one of Zimbl’s construction partners or the contractor already on site if Zimbl is part of a new development.

Who pays for the construction of the hubs?

As part of the agreement to introduce a Zimbl operation to a residential development, the developer will need to commit to either part or full funding of the construction of the facility. The payback for the housebuilder or developer is that it meets S106 requirements and can enable greater density of housing due to less need for second car ownership with an EV hire service on the doorstep.
